As part of funding from the IDEAS (Increase and Diversify Education Abroad for U.S. Students) grant competition, the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business developed International Business Consulting in Uruguay (IBC Uruguay), an embedded study abroad program to Montevideo, Uruguay based around a project-based consulting course targeted at undergraduate business students.
Targeted course content and project-based learning through consulting project with Uruguayan client companies aimed to expand student skills in consulting, project management, and cultural communication with the overall goal of increasing their global perspectives and general employability.
After program completion, the Terry College of Business team developed a set of digital resources to share "Lessons Learned" from the experiences of faculty, staff, and students on the program. These digital resources are available to the public in order to share knowledge with other international educators and study abroad administrators.
